This does not work on my Janome 6600, I think Janome is a popular brand (the info sheet says it works on most major brand cars). It's a good concept, but I think it's very limited by the machines it's going to work with. Big disappointment.

I was disappointed because after reading the description I thought the purple rail was included. It was not in the package and when I called to inquire about the item I was told it was not included and you would need to purchase it separately. Very misleading

Seam guide is smooth on top and edges with two areas of adhesive material recessed underneath. (The stickiness will continue after washing according to the instructions). It holds securely to the sewing foot, but is easy to remove. I used it for an afternoon of sewing and it hasn't budged yet. The best.for that elusive 1/4 seam!
