New on the left, old with the metal intact and 'knots' after it broke. In my opinion 6 months of abuse for $12 was a reasonable length so I bought another one.

This leash was designed to help train our new pup. Our trainer suggested exactly this leash. He recommended this so we can work with her while she learns basic commands. So far it works great and is as described.

My pup is so stubborn he will only stay in the yard as long as the leash is tied to his harness. This leash is perfect for that and I only tie it when I have it in front of me. He loves how much space he has with this leash.

I bought this product for two reasons. My puppy needs memory training and is doing fine. Gives him his distance, but with my control at a distance. Second, it's great when it's too cold in the morning to walk him. I just hold him by the back door and he does his thing.

This is good quality. I use this to train my pup (Blue Heeler mix). The leash is strong and I'm sure it will keep her safe for a long time. I will buy it again if at the moment it is worn out, it grinds and is a frequently used part with us. We bought the 50ft version.

There was only a one month return window. My dog is only 45 pounds, border collie. I would not recommend using it outdoors.

Bought this leash to train a 6 month old German Shepherd puppy. We also take it to the park to get it. Not only did we comply with leash laws, but I felt better knowing I could grab that leash when someone was distracted. Two months passed and everything was fine until the clasp broke! It, like almost everything else, crumbled under an SUV tire. Great product, I'm here to buy again!

I ordered this on the recommendation of a trainer (yes, this one). Judging by their video, don't make too much of a difference when your pup is carrying it in their mouth. For use in the garden so you can gently tug when they get naughty. The line was in my 6 month old pup's mouth less than 20 seconds and her needle teeth went right through that thin line rendering it useless to me, broke off completely and my little one could have freed herself.
