Worked great for the first year, then failed.

Worked great with the pool filter for the first year. In his sophomore year, he froze with poor reading and didn't move when the pressure changed. Shame really, I expect them to last a few years and the dial is still very clean due to the oil. I will try a different brand this year.

Good valve and good price

Looks very good and the bright white background makes it easy to read even in the dimly lit corner of my basement. I don't have a comparison to comment on accuracy but there are 2 pressure gauges on the filter assembly to monitor the pressure drop and show the same when I switch to bypass so at least they are consistent. I am particularly satisfied with the price

Pros
  • Check, measure and inspect
Cons
  • Great price

Quality but weird gauges

This appears to be a very high quality gauge, solid and heavy. The only thing I don't like is that there is 10 units between 5psi. Thus, the average score between 10 and 15 is 12.5. It looks good, but to get a comparison number (when using a pool filter) I have to think "7 lines after 15psi is 7x.5 = 3.5, add to 15 to get 18.5psi. Only 5 units would be ideal Obviously a language conversion issue but a minor issue that just annoys me.

Pros
  • Gauges
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
