Description of TAKPART Steering Mounting Bracket Compatible

Fits all Small Block Chevy engines 283 305 327 350 383 400 with long or short water pump. Fits GM Saginaw Style pumps as well as original pumps. Common fits 67-80 Camaro, 62-78 Nova, 64-72 Chevelle, 66-72 Caprice along with many more SBC engines in those year ranges and later. Mounts on the drivers' side bottom(to the block). Please note, no instructions in included, professional installation is highly recommended. Pls feel free to contact us if you're not sure if this item fit your vehicle.

Misaligned Disaster for Performance Cars

After trying this steering bracket mounting, my car was left in shambles. While it did manage to keep the wheel in place for a while, it soon became clear that the bracket was not up to the task. It began to shift and misalign, causing the steering to wander dangerously on the road..

Unreliable Steering Bracket - Avoid!

This steering bracket caused major issues with my vehicle's handling .Despite being advertised as "compatible," it did not fit securely and constantly shifted during turns. This made driving my performance car a NIGHTMARE and put me at risk on the road. The only positive was that customer service was responsive and offered a refund. Overall, I would not recommend this automotive part to anyone..

Not for 1965 Chevelle with 283 engine

Unfortunately this power steering bracket was not compatible with the 1965 Chevelle with the 283 I am working on now. I have a factory style Saginaw power steering pump and haven't found a way to mount this bracket where a reasonable adjustment can be made. I took the time to rotate the brace 180 degrees to make sure it wasn't a problem. Breakage of this bracket will occur when attempting to install the upper adjustment bracket, it simply will not attach to the power steering pump the way it…
