Type of review

I'll admit it only took a few rivets and burrs to attach a cloth belt bag that had had a double cap rivet come loose. This type is more reliable, although they dig into the fabric a bit. I would like to know that the #12 rivet at 3.3mm is smaller in diameter than the #9 rivet at 4.0mm and larger than the #14 rivet at 2.5mm.

Pros
  • Got it!
Cons
  • No automatic

Copper, I have an application for you

These are definitely copper rivets. They fit well and look great. Thanks to the long rods, they are very versatile and are suitable for gluing things of different thicknesses. Knitting is fun! Although I've occasionally found myself working at an awkward angle (I've reupholstered a leather/iron chair) and accidentally hit a joint enough times to develop a bone spur. But that's not the fault of those rivets! You were wonderful!

Pros
  • Many positive emotions
Cons
  • fade

Copper rivets in leather industry

They are made of copper and make rivets. What else can you say? Good. After using a few, I found I could say a lot more. It s cheap! The ridges are so thin I can't find them in my pocket. They bend very easily when you try to drive them into the rivet shank (a common occurrence). The rivet heads are also very thin. Looking through some old work and comparing them to old rivets, I realized how thin the heads and burrs were. I'll look around for other hardware stores.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Ugly head but can be polished

The head of this rivet has many shaded spots probably from the manufacturing process. I was able to smooth out these marks with a file and sandpaper, and then buff the heads with a buffing wheel and scouring paste. I'm guessing it's not 100% copper as it took quite a bit of work with a ball-peen hammer to knock the pin out. I would buy them again because of their durability. I used these instead of double caps to attach the carry handle to the Tandy Expedition briefcase which was made from 4…

Pros
  • Nice to use
