very soft anvil

used it to bend some computer heat sinks and you can see where my hammer hit the anvil you can see the dents in the anvil. Over time, this anvil becomes useless for straightening things out. I went back to using my iron plates from weightlifting kits; I hammer them all day and they show no dents or cracks

Great little leatherworking anvil

I love this little anvil. It needed a thorough cleaning when it arrived, but you really can't expect it to arrive without enough oil and such to protect it in transit. I gave the face a little attention with fine sandpaper and metal polish blush to get what I liked. I wasn't expecting high precision at this price point, so I knew it would require a bit of tweaking. I use it to fix leather and patterns and to attach small eyelets and snaps. This is a lovely anvil that suits my needs and has had…

Big Little Anvil

So my 6 year old son decides he wants to get into metalworking. After a long search for the "right" anvil, we decided on this one. He used it to work softer metals like copper and aluminum and also took a piece of silver with him. Caution: This is definitely not a "toy" for children. That's a real anvil.
