Great little spotting scope

I've been using Tasco optics for 26 years, ever since my parents got me a pair of 7x50 binoculars. Over the years I've bought another pair of Tasco binoculars and a smaller spotting scope and have found them to be sharp, clear and easy to use. This spotting scope is no exception. As you would expect, sharpness does drop off a bit at maximum magnification, but overall the scope is excellent.

Great selection at a great price

When I bought this I replaced another cheap one that fell off my car as it was driving down the road. I know, stupid mistake. Because of the price, I didn't have high hopes. I was very surprised by this range. It's solid, well focused and has a good image. Worth every penny. No, this isn't a 500.00 attraction, but it won't disappoint. I managed to get a picture of the moon using a cheap phone mount attached to this scope. Good buy.

Suitable for shooting Suitable for spotting scopes

This is a good spotting scope for distance shooting. It's sharp enough and has enough range to see my results at the other end of my range, which is 200 yards. You need to put it on the included tripod and place it on a stable table/platform as even the slightest movement will really shake the object you are looking at. Once you've got it properly focused you can just move your eye to the eyepiece (without touching it) and you'll have a very clear picture of your results. I'm sure with a steady

good price works up to 300 yards

I haven't used this product much because winter came and the shooting stopped but I tested it at 100, 200 and 300 yards. Works great at 200 and works well at 300 yards. I see 556 holes on a Birchwood Casey black repair target at 200 yards; There was some difficulty at 300 yards, but the target was well used and a little worn. I also lined out a used black and white 9mm target at 300 yards and could clearly see these holes. I think it will work at 300 yards with the less used Birchwood Casey and

The high-end features and HD quality are great for the money.

You can definitely pay a lot more for some of these scopes, but the 60mm version is excellent. TASCO has long been a renowned brand for binoculars and optical telescopes. They are experts in the field of coated optics and have always produced quality equipment, so I wouldn't expect anything less from them. An easy to use and set up spotting scope that can be used when hunting or just observing nature. Supplied with a small manual lever tripod to guide the spotting. Not only is the lens coated…

Very good spotting scope at this price!

I have been using this scope on the range for a few weeks and it works very well. It's easy to focus and holds focus well when zooming. We have no detection problems at 100 and 200 yards. It still offers good visibility at 500 yards but is a bit difficult to find and hold on to. The scope is lightweight but looks pretty solid. The included tripod is small and light (making it very portable), but the head isn't the largest (which probably makes it difficult to use at longer distances). Upgrading

Lightweight but inconvenient to carry Tripod

I'm new to using spotting scopes but thought it would be nice to have one so I can identify birds in the field. Before that I had to take a picture and then go home to see what exactly it was. This section takes the guesswork out. I'm still learning how to use this scope. I like that it's light. It comes with a black canvas carry case. The case, actually a structured bag, can be opened from two sides. There is a zipper on one end which I unzipped to remove and replace the scope. At the other…
