Perfect Solution for Sharpening on the Go

This handy little tool is a must-have for anyone who needs to keep their blades sharp while on the job. Based on our own experience, the Task Tools T35514 Pocket Sharpening works like a charm and quickly restores the edge on all types of blades. We appreciated the compact size and portability. The only drawback we found was that it works best on small or fine blades.

Pros
  • Easy to use, effective, portable.
Cons
  • Not ideal for larger blades.

Right size and . on sharpening stones

This stone is the right size and reminds me of the stone my father taught me. However, it broke in half when unpacked. Very thin. So I glued the two halves to a piece of plywood and now everything works fine.

Pros
  • Use with sharpening stone oil for best results
Cons
  • Large and bulky

Fits hand tools either way

Whetstone doesn't have to be big. This little one allows you to sharpen a knife on its surface like a big one, and at the same time you can hold it in your hand to sharpen knives - I've found it particularly useful for sharpening chisels, especially those with concave-shaped grooves that chisels use difficult to sharpen on stone. Both sides have the same rudeness. I just hope they can make one side better than the other.

Pros
  • Small enough to carry and store anywhere
Cons
  • Easily torn
