It turns on, but as soon as you put it in a pot of warm milk on the stove, it turns off immediately. This is an induction cooker but I have never touched a side.

Bought to check the temp of the air conditioner in my truck. It works well. I only gave it 4 stars because it takes a few minutes to get to the right temperature. I made the mistake of leaving it in the sun in my truck in Arizona during the summer. You can see where it's warped a bit, but it still works.

Very easy to use and read. The only downside is that you shouldn't let water get into the plastic head of the device. It is not sealed at all, so water can easily leak out when cleaning the probe. However, a few days of air drying will usually bring it back to life.

The first time I used it, it worked fine. The main unit is a little loose on the latches, but if you're careful it works. I kept it until I needed it again, on the second use it was dead. Replaced the battery, still dead. I reset the block with the reset button, it still doesn't work. Sigh. Trying to return but the return window closed a week ago. Dang.Buyer, be careful, it looks like this device is unreliable.
