Efficient Kitchen Timer: ⏲️ Taylor Precision Products Mechanical Rotating Timer Review

This seems like a great timer but the red plastic part broke on the second day of use rendering it unusable. It's a shame. I received it last night and it broke this morning.

Bought for slow kids who get together in the morning. We usually use it for 5-10 minutes but the alarm is not that loud. Works for what it is, but I'll try to find something with a longer, louder alarm.

Numbers and time remaining are clearly visible when empty (time remaining is shown in red). Works as advertised. The timer will not work when hung vertically from a magnet (e.g. on a fridge), the timer must be flat for proper operation.

I bought this timer to use with the Pomodoro Technique. It works as it should. Rotate it for 55 minutes and then put it back where you want it to start. It makes a ticking noise over time and I don't find it too loud or annoying. The bell that rings is like an old metal alarm clock and I don't think it's harsh or scary.

I haven't seen such a good timer in five years! Some have numbers but no visual representation. Some of them are visual, but for children who can tell the time, they don't give an accurate idea of how much time is left. As a result, BOTH the numeric and visual functions are mechanical, so require no batteries and are much cheaper to download! ten stars.

I was expecting better build quality from a big brand, but this product is not unlike the cheap Shenzhen exports that you often see these days. The magnetic backing was strong but stuck to the timer. When I tried to take the timer out of the fridge, the backing came off immediately. At least I have a really good fridge magnet now. This visual timer is perfect for many things. I use it for my kids to let them know how much time they have left for dinner or play. I also use similar timers for my clients to learn the concept of time. I love that it's magnetic - I stick it on the fridge or oven so it's easy to see. It has a nice loud ringtone that isn't too loud. It's a small drop but I knew what it was going to be when I saw the sizes listed. I went with it anyway because it's cheaper than the larger sizes.
