Used and damaged pump came with no packaging and hardware loosening the box. The connecting posts for the level have been bent outwards. Also no instructions. The body was dented so that he could not pump. Avoid at all costs!

No instructions...lots of parts No instructions on how to put this thing together or even use it so I have no idea if all the parts are there or if it even works . It looks good, but it will be some time before I find out. I'll let you know. giggle

Pumps well. We got it from a cistern to supply the house with water and it works without any problems. It passes water through a particle filter and a carbon filter. In the US, one of the supplied tube fittings is useless (metric vs. US), but the hose adapter works, so it's not a problem.

I had high hopes, but the seal on the pump, self-lubricated, wasn't up to the task at 27 feet. Unfortunately, too simple a design will work for a shallow well but will not produce the high vacuum pressures that deeper production would require.

The pump works well but doesn't hold the fill for long. Bring a liter of water with you every day you use it to fill it up. It doesn't pump fast (unless you're Hercules), but I can pump a gallon out of a shallow well in about a minute. An inexpensive way to provide emergency water or (in my case) provide water in a location that lacks power for an electric pump.

This is an inexpensive DIY pump if you want it to last. For example, replace all of the threaded bolts for the handle with flat-shank screws and a couple of plastic bushings to eliminate play in the handle. It then uses a metal PEX nipple for the suction line on the bottom instead of the flimsy plastic nipple that comes with the kit, and then adds a bracket that can be mounted directly to the case or for any other offline use, included which you can imagine where a jug is located Pump can…

We are currently using this pump to pump water into small containers while planting plants around the property. It works fairly well and appears to be a better long-term solution than the ubiquitous cast-iron alternative. Extra rubber grommets are a nice bonus. I'm not a fan of the cheap metric fully threaded stainless steel bolts that come with the swivel hardware kit and I've replaced them with 1/4" bolts in 5/16" OD oil bushings.
