We are currently using this pump to pump water into small containers while planting plants around the property. It works fairly well and appears to be a better long-term solution than the ubiquitous cast-iron alternative. Extra rubber grommets are a nice bonus. I'm not a fan of the cheap metric fully threaded stainless steel bolts that come with the swivel hardware kit and I've replaced them with 1/4" bolts in 5/16" OD oil bushings. The hinges are the weak link and must be removed before the pump can be operated.
