Perfect clips for 3D printers

MUCH better than paperclips - more forgiving and take up much less edge space and almost no height - clearance from the moving print head is excellent. I use 2 in each corner which gives a very tight fit and leaves almost all of the surface available for printing.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • No performance

The best clips for 3D printing glass beds! Throw away those staples.

I've used them to hold glass platforms on several of my 3D printers. Much better than using binder clips. Does not interfere with the printhead when attempting to utilize the full platform footprint. Very important! A bag lasts a lifetime or can be shared with others.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Incredible piggy bank

Worked perfectly for cr10 S5.

I have a metal bed with a glass cover and PEI adhesive film. There is also a thermal mat under the metal bed. The clips fit perfectly. No interference with my fan shroud or ABL sensor like I had with the regular clips. I now have 20mm of extra print space. Great purchase and I have enough clips to fill 5 more printers if the need arises!

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Compatibility

Dangerous for 3D printers!

These clamps are advertised as clamps for the 3D printer's glass bed. That's not what they're made for! Be very careful! I scratched two of them the protective layer on the heating stage and closed the circuit of the heating layer. Luckily I was there when I started typing. A few minutes after printing, magic smoke started coming out of the control box. Loss of MOSFET thermal layer and main board (all stepper motor drivers soldered to the board were damaged). This false advertising has cost me…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not reliable

3D printer? It's so much better than staples in every way

If you have a glass-backed 3D printer, this is a huge improvement over staples. They are much smaller so they waste less of your valuable printable area and because they are much lower the head is much less likely to collide with them. They hold on without getting in the way. A tip: you need to hook the tip of the clip to the top of the glass and then press down. Don't do this if you don't want to scratch the surface of the bed. Instead, approach from below, then press the clamp spring firmly…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Good Frame Clamp

Since most reviews seem to focus on using these clamps in 3D printers, I decided to review the clamps used for their intended purpose. I used them to attach the glass and MDF backing to the drawing. The package contained many clips for this and several other projects. The clamps were solid as expected and worked as intended. They have slots on the back that appear to act as suspension mounts, but I don't think I would trust them with the weight of this piece. I'm sure they'll fit for smaller or

Pros
  • Material - Metal,Weight: 400g
Cons
  • Obsolete Model

I used these for the glass bed of a 3D printer. The edges are too sharp for me to consider comfortable on a PCB heated aluminum platform. However, with the help of a pair of pliers to bend the bottom side clip and some sandpaper to smooth out the parts where the plating has cracked from the bending, this is absolutely perfect. Easy to install and remove and the glass holds up great with only two, but I used three just in case. Would have been 5 stars if they had a protected or smoothed edge.

Pros
  • Package Content - 100 pcs x Silver Spring Swivel Clamp
Cons
  • No Power

NOT LIKE OLD TYPE CLAMP

Some of my framed photos (metal frames) needed new mats on the back. I've searched the internet for the ones I've used before, I call them "crocodiles". All you had to do was clamp them, press them in place and they fit snugly. You are nowhere. These were the only ones. There must be a trick to putting them on. I couldn't slide them under the glass and pad. If I tried to put them on the pad before putting the pad in the frame, they wouldn't hold. Bad design. No, I would not recommend them.

Pros
  • This product fits around 5mm thick glass
Cons
  • Big and chunky
