Smooth Cruising: TCP Global Wooden Longboard Sandpaper for a Premium Ride Review

As others have pointed out, this "flat board" isn't flat. Unusable for the intended use. Yes it was cheap so not worth sending back. That's the only good thing about him.

I used a longboard to level the very long vertical shell surfaces of our ceilings. It worked great! It's so easy to hold on to even when you're balancing on the stairs. The long shape allowed me to create a very straight surface.

Nice handle with a 3/32" (2mm) thick aluminum base that will work well once I remove the four Phillips machine screws coming out of the base plate protruded, reattach. Annoying. Also the design of the clamps is a little flawed. The rivets holding the clamps also protrude from the base but I can hold the stamp with a rubber pad for them. Figure for an hour to correct adjustment .

Worked as it should for the project. Don't expect it to last a lifetime, but you can make a few projects out of it. The handle fell off halfway through my first project, but I fixed it with a set of longer screws and everything worked fine.

When unpacking, I noticed when I ran my hand over the underside where the sandpaper is, it's not quite flat. There were ledges that must have accumulated glue holding the foam. Not much, especially for the price, but if you're into bodywork I'd consider looking elsewhere.

The board had a noticeable flex. The clamping hardware on both ends fell apart on first use. So a straight sanding board is not straight. Forget about easy installation and sandpaper clamping. I did not see good quality in this product. Pride in design and workmanship is clearly nowhere to be found.
