Outstanding slices. No problems at all

These are excellent DVD+R discs. With some players I had problems with others like Memorex. TDK works fine like Sony. I have a very powerful PC, so I have no problems with data transfer and write speed, which is a common cause of poor DVD performance after burning and not burning. All I buy now is Sony and TDK and I am very happy.

Pros
  • Organic Dye Recording Material
Cons
  • Volume

No problems with these discs

I bought an Indi TDK external DVD burner and tried several DVD brands. The burner worked perfectly with all DVD brands I use (TDK, Memorex, Verbatin). However, I've had problems with Memorex CD-Rs in the past and have noticed that Memorex DVDs are somewhat transparent (very noticeable using a marker on the front), which probably doesn't bode well in the long run. I have burned over 50 TDK DVDs with no problems and played them on various DVD players without any problems. TDK has a very good…

After about 90 minutes, the pictures get worse and worse.

I'm very happy with the TDK DVD writer, but not with this media. I bought 20 discs and after using 7 of them 3 had problems as described in the title. To be precise, after around 90 minutes, the images become blurry, jumpy and sometimes completely dark and unviewable. I've used another brand like Memorex which had no problems capturing the same images or film. So buyers beware.

Pros
  • Wobble and fit before formatting
Cons
  • So far so good

Problems with TDK discs

Previously used Memorex, Verbatim discs with almost no problems. Many TDK discs are starting to skip at the end of movies or giving "unreadable" messages on my PC and PS2. I had to watch a lot of movies to see what was going on. Poorly. Stay away.

Pros
  • 25 DVDs per box
Cons
  • This makes me angry
