Attention does not work

I bought a new stove and put it in the corner of the kitchen. The new stove had large burners and when the kettle was used, the radiant heat from under the kettle charred the wood paneling on the wall next to the stove. I bought and installed this supposedly 2000 degree heat shield, two days later it melted on the wall from indirect radiant heat while brewing a kettle of water.

Pros
  • Withstands Extreme Heat - Featuring an aluminized coating, a flexible and durable woven silica gel, with aluminized adhesive backing, this heat shield can withstand searing temperatures in excess of 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit. Its reflective surface can still shield heat and provide maximum protection.
Cons
  • I don't remember, but there was something

Exhaust and emission resistant

Good quality adhesive like all other goods. If approval is an issue for your application, this should help. Very easy to cut/crop. Edit: I did a total of 4 motorbike rides and installed these. I installed it in the fairings to protect them from engine overheating. I prepared the fairings well and I have seen that the adhesive still adheres well to the fairings but in some places the material has come loose from the adhesive membrane on the fairing. Not good.

Pros
  • Package includes 1 x A-Team Performance 13575 Aluminized fiberglass heat shield with adhesive backing Up to 2000 degrees Fahrenheit Multipurpose Compatible with firewall covers 12" x 24" hoses and doors
Cons
  • Requires outlet

Virtually no thermal protection

I used a bent piece of sheet metal and covered the inside of the bend with a heat shield. This should serve as protection for the direct exhaust furnace. To my disappointment, the sheet metal got very hot and did little to cool the objects (copper gas pipe and siding) above the screen. When I resumed my testing the next day, I noticed that the fiberglass had separated from the adhesive and was hanging down. I attached this by screwing the fiberglass to the sheet metal. I added 3 more layers of…

Pros
  • Easy to Apply - Innovative self-adhesive composite backing design makes installation easier than ever. It can be simply wrapped or placed on any desired surface with a professional finish; also savings in recruitment service.
Cons
  • obsolete
