I was hesitant to give five stars. The reason I did this is because it's a very good pump. Very nice workmanship and solid piece. The reason I didn't leave 5 stars is because the listing says the outlet is 5/8. It is not. This is an M16-1.5 o-ring. Not a big deal but it does require an additional matching purchase and of course I bought 5/8 first.

This pump works as advertised and was easy to install after removing my fittings and bracket from my old pump. However, the key was too big for my "non-standard" pulley, but the old key worked fine. So don't throw away the old pump, fittings and wrench until you've dry installed the new pump. I adjusted the low pressure pipe with a slight bend. The rest of the install went smoothly on my '68 Camaro/383/power steering. The entire pump is chrome plated to make it look good in the engine bay…

I used this with a CVF ribbed belt system. After letting the engine run for about an hour, I pulled into a parking space. When the wheel turned all the way, I lost control. Fluid was leaking from the back of the pump and upon closer inspection it turned out that the back of the pump had just ruptured and the casing was cracked. I can only assume that full rotation of the wheel will create enough back pressure in the system to cause the pump to fail. This should not have happened if these units…
