Useless piece of junk

Based on my experience, this product is a waste of money. It doesn't cool anything and just adds to my frustration. Thanks for attention.

Definitely works, there are words on the cooling side

5 cooling units came in a bag with thermal grease and a small spatula to evenly distribute the lubricant. I tried to make the fat as thin as possible while still covering both surfaces. For the hot side, which has no printed words, I used a heatsink from an old PC microprocessor with a fan. On the cold side I used an old radiator. With this setup I was able to run the cooling unit without damaging it. I didn't know what the voltage profile would look like, so this experiment was instructive. I…

Cool your electronics with these handy Peltier devices!

I have an obsolete hard drive that needed to be backed up and the last time it was plugged into my computer in the drive dock it started screeching hotly which made me worry its death might be inevitable . So I immediately turned it off and didn't turn it on until I figured out how to "stay cool". That's where these cooling pads come in. I had an old CPU heatsink with a fan lying around and I figured I would wedge one of these between the heatsink and the drive case after "lubricating" them…
