This was an OEM replacement and will seal the carafe better as the new lids have a rubber gasket that was not on the original lid which was part of the whole system purchase.

I happily turn on my dispensing and wow what a sound. I turned it off and oops. My mangled lid stayed on my carafe. I went to Amazon, found the part I needed and was back in business a week later. It was exactly as ordered and was delivered very timely.

Very thin plastic. It looks and feels like it will break easily. So it doesn't keep my coffee any warmer than flowing through the lid. I had the original cork and it felt much firmer and my coffee stayed hot for hours. Now, an hour later, the coffee is warm and needs to be reheated in the microwave if I want it hot. If you need a new lid, the flow-through version might be all you need. Just don't expect your coffee to be hot in an hour or so.

Sold as OEM but barely fits in my stainless steel carafe. It's a struggle to turn it on and off. In comparison, this is the second Mocca Master coffee maker (they are fantastic) that I have ordered for my vacation. However, this decanter came with a different insert which has an open tube at the bottom of the decanter. Failed to load media. About a year ago I bought a Moccamaster brewer with a thermograph. Combined with this lid, it doesn't need a heating element to keep the coffee hot and fresh for hours. In fact, I've found that coffee stays fresh much longer than my previous drip coffee maker that used a heating element. and no more burnt/stale coffee, even after 3-4 hours of inactivity.
