This hair comb is made with special care. The soft wood of the brush is pleasant. I won't lie to you, there was a concern about the number of bristles on the brush head and how that would affect my overall impression of the item. I was so disappointed when I received this brush. The wooden handle of the brush is great, but other than that it's not worth buying. This brush was made to look like the Widu brush and is handmade in Italy just like the Widu brush. The ends of the hair that go through the scalp are short, unlike the Widu brush, and the hairbrush pad does not deform. You can also buy a plastic one and save a lot of money. I

I thought I would be crazy to buy a $20 brush but after a few weeks of using this brush I finally understand why it was recommended to me. I have long, coarse and thick hair. It usually destroys normal brushes. This little Tek passed the test. I am more than satisfied and would recommend it to anyone looking for a durable brush. I also like the comfort of the handle and the wonderful wood look. You can really feel the build quality and craftsmanship that went into the making.

I bought the same brush (but in a beautiful purple, not "natural" color) from TJ Maxx/Marshall's over 10 years ago. The ONLY problem I had was that after a few years the rubber washer holding the wooden pegs came loose from the wooden handle and eventually just failed. The pen itself? Still in perfect condition, as are the pins. I'm sad I had to buy a new one but I'm glad they're still available. I love this brush. I also have a brush. It's gentle on my hair and way better than any comb I've ever used. It is great for brushing my daughter's hair.

I was very happy to receive this 'Italian' comb until one of the wooden bristles became tangled and damaged my hair. After the first two minutes of use, the split bristles at the tip of the brush became tangled in my hair and I had to snap the rod in half to remove the hair before any more damage was done. I am very disappointed with the workmanship of this brush and am afraid to exchange it and receive another defective product
