Makes it easy to check current from 120VAC devices

If you're like me you've probably assembled a short cable with plugs and sockets and exposed the conductors by removing the OUTER sheath. Well, a line splitter makes this a lot easier and fits better in a tool box than a short extension cord. Simply plug the device into a power outlet and the plug into a power outlet. Then insert an ammeter into the holes to measure the current flowing to the device. There are X1 and X10 sides, so you can multiply small currents by 10x to better measure them…

Brilliant. with conditions

I bought this to detect a ground leak that triggered the gfci circuit. I modified it to disable the ground wire so I can control it individually. This splitter works great without any mods, but remember the following: - The voltage test holes are just holes to plug the meter into the hot and neutral lines. The pseudo button below these holes is . Nothing. The inscription 1x 10x only applies when looking at the device from above (with voltage test holes). On the back, the lettering is upside…

Ideal for measuring the AC current of connected devices.

To measure the load current drawn by a cord plugged into a standard 120V AC outlet, an in-line splitter can be used to attach a clamp to an ammeter can use to get a reading. I chose the Tekpower M920 AC Line Splitter because it looked solid, had two gauge holes, and was inexpensive. The hole at the end of the plug delivers the actual rated current (1X). For greater accuracy, the second hole delivers 10x the current (10X). Depending on the sensitivity of your meter, you may get more accurate…

Seems accurate*: Satellite TV gear

I'm an IT admin and this along with a decent clamp meter is great for efficient circuit stress calculations for voltage regulators and UPSs. The internal 10x loop is great for meters that draw little current, such as B. Switches, POE injectors and certain AV devices. I get the same readings from this unit on a 1x loop as I get directly from the outlet wiring; The 10x loop seems to be slightly higher than the 10x. I'm not sure if it's a mismatch in my clamp meter (I have a $75 Southwire clamp…

simple but very effective product.

. It is not a very complex product, so this review will be very simple. I originally purchased this particular item to test electrical loads for indoor and outdoor Christmas decorations. I compared this product to numerous other similar products listed on Amazon and bought this unit based on the price and reviews, and also because I liked the red color compared to the colors of similar products. This product is so simple that the difference between one line splitter and another should be almost
