ATTENTION! OUTPUT VOLTAGE IS 24 VOLTS HIGHER THAN SPECIFIED

The power supply was being used in a car simulator in a classroom when after 20 minutes of training the simulator was damaged by an output power supply over voltage exceeding 36.5 VDC instead of the advertised voltage of 12 vdc The needles say the trainer's control module has been damaged and is irreversibly damaged. (who pays that?)

Works great with power converters

I am using this power supply as a DC power source for an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) for a backup sump pump that is 6A max. The supply voltage is 13.72V (measured with an accurate digital multimeter) which is is slightly below the specified 13.8 V. It is well made and works quietly with no hum. The illuminated power button should be brighter.

It works and powers a 45w transmitter but the voltage is 14.6 not 13.8

Received this power supply today and checked the voltage before I took it to my hobby -Transceiver plugged in, 45 watts at 2m. It showed 14.6, falling to 14.3 with button down at 45 watts on transceiver. So it works and the voltage regulation is sufficient. I left it running all day with the DVM cables connected to the output. I would like to set the voltage to 13.6-13.8, but this manufacturer does not include a circuit with the device. I emailed them to request the schematic. I'm assuming…

Small, Powerful, and Quiet

I have this amazingly small 12 amp amp to power my new IC-7200 transceiver. I don't know why it works perfectly because the transceiver needs 20 amps or more. It is quiet to the ear and has low radio interference. I may need more power for continuous carrier operation. But I use it mostly for CW and a little sideband every now and then. And it regulates and works without fluctuations in performance.

Great amp performance for the price

AMAZING power supply for the money. My buddy needed a 12vdc power supply to test the electrical components of a Chevelle he's building. The high power of the amplifier gives us the opportunity to bench test electric fans, sockets and car audio devices without carrying a car battery or smoking a wiring harness. This came in really handy when the electric fuel pump was powered before the wiring harness was connected to it.

Good power supply good for power supplies

I used an FTM-400DR handset to set up a base station for my ham radio operator because I wanted to host a Wires-X node. This power supply was used in this configuration. I am happy with the purchase of this power supply, however I had to wait a while for the unit to arrive. Other than not meeting my shipping expectations, overall I am happy with this product and will even purchase another one if needed.

A great power supply!

I bought two of these supplies and they both worked right away. One of them has been in use for more than a month without any problems. This power supply is built like a tank - all three of my power meters agree that the output voltage was right on the nose at 13.8 volts. A source is currently operating a 2m 35W VHF radio, TNC3+, a netbook computer and a netbook DC/AC converter. Also charger/AC error when switching DC battery. The PSU runs cool to the touch. I couldn't be happier with the…
