Description of πŸ”§ TEKTON 3/8 Inch Drive T40 Torx Bit Socket: Efficient Screw-Tightening Tool, SHB14240

S2 steel bit is press-fit into the socket for a straight, permanent connection that can't loosen over time. Star-shaped Torx bit has 6-lobes machined to precise tolerances for an exact, high-torque fit that resists camming out. Large, clear die-stamped size marking is easy to read and can’t wear off. Four detent grooves provide a secure connection with the drive tool and a drilled through-hole allows locking on with retaining pin. Polished, chrome-plated finish easily wipes clean and is highly resistant to corrosion

Exact Part I Need

Needed to replace the tailgate trim on the rear of the 2010 Ford Escape Hatch. This is exactly the part I need, fits perfectly with the screws

Workmanship: Bespoke sockets

Bought to replace a lost part in a kit I already have. Good build quality and fits perfectly in the case. Used 3 times and not broken.

Cons
  • Has defects

100% the best quality in a hand tool

This thing is strong. I used it to pry open a rusty rear brake caliper on a Chrysler 200 that hadn't been factory touched in about 7 years and it worked great. πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Great tool for sockets and socket sets

This is a great little tool that can get into my passenger's footpeg bracket. I was surprised when it took about 60 ft-lbs of torque to loosen the bolt, but he managed it easily. Won't slip or twist, it's rock solid.

Pros
  • Useful for more than it's intended purpose
Cons
  • Small things

Works great on stuck screws.

I used this in a hard to reach area of the bike where a bolt with a red lock was too tight. I was pretty sure any bit could rip off the head of the screw or just break the tool, but I had to try. This tool removed the screw with ease, although I had already removed the head somewhat with a tool from another manufacturer. Great. I will now look for a kit from this company.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Some difficulty

Exactly the tool I needed

I needed to remove the idler pulley from a 2001 BMW that was slightly torn off. Looking at the old socket set I found that it was probably stripped because the old socket was rounded. Since this bolt holds the pulley in place and is used to relieve tension when changing belts, I needed a new head to prevent this. Not only did this head remove the old broken bolt with ease, it also worked great for loosening the new pulley. Good, precise fit, no need to take it off, quality brand. Highly…

Pros
  • Will fit a lot
Cons
  • Not as good as it says
