This is a fairly expensive drill, but it is much more accurate for drilling holes in tires than a traditional drill. Regular bits don't grind the inner straps like this one, making it much easier to pull the patch through.
Purchased to properly drill a patch hole on a car tire. I used to (incorrectly) use a regular power drill. It doesn't matter what the right tool is and this router will make perfect holes for the overhead stem. I can't say anything about long-term durability, but so far it's holding up well. Highly recommended!
Used daily in a workshop. We typically see 6 months of constant use before an 'event' happens and we have to buy another. I don't know what happens if they break, but I can say with some certainty that it was due to abuse or mishandling (my current theory is dropping it on the floor of a tile shop while it was still in an exercise is). .
