Temperature Controller Thermostat Waterproof Programmable Review

Inexpensive hobby/test thermostat. I've used one to turn on the heater of a LifePo4 battery when the temperature drops close to freezing.

Works great wish it had a F° temp option also have to look up youtube for how to program saves settings on power off so you you can just install it once if you don't want to change it.

Used in my RV's electric box, connected to an electric cooling fan. When the inverter reached 40 degrees, it turned on the electric cooling fan. Has worked flawlessly. I just wanted it to show in Fahrenheit as well.

I have bought these thermostats several times. Every project they undertake is exemplary. The controller switches almost all heaters, including oil heaters, RV heaters and heating pads. Keep instructions handy. The settings are not intuitive.

I am still installing these for the electric solar panel that pumps solar heated water to my pool. One controls a pump that turns on when the pool water needs heat and the other controls a magnet that regulates flow to the pool when the solar heated water is warm enough.

Seems to be doing what it's supposed to do. Instructions and cable markings are in Chinese on the back. Input - Red is + / Black is - . Output - Yellow is + / Black is -. I don't know the exactness. It's easy to use once you translate the instructions. I connected it to a fan and then put a heat gun on the temp sensor. Turns on at the set temperature and turns off at the set temperature. The wires seem to be small, like 22 AWG, so I connected the outputs to a relay to control the fan.

The only thing written on the back in English is the model number (XH-3001) and 3 ratings. The 12v120W rating box is enabled here. I'm not an EE but I can at least understand that the rating is 10A. I'm still no EE, but I don't think I'll ever run 10A through 22Ga wire, but that's what it does. I'm tempted to change it to 18 or better, but we'll see. if you cannot calibrate the temperature sensor. what shoud that? no instructions, no data from the manufacturer and no way to calibrate the actual sensor. Setting the temperature is easy, adjusting the temperature sensor to reality is a non-existent feature. the inability to calibrate (or lack of calibration instructions renders it useless.
