Yes but. in Test, Measure & Inspect

Works as advertised but the stick is so hard it won't stick to anything. At higher temperatures it becomes even more difficult. I think next time I'll go for the liquid version, even though it's more expensive.

Pros
  • Quality Construction
Cons
  • Great Price

Unwanted product upon arrival. Waste of money

On arrival the product was broken, the crayons just crumbled. It does not melt at any temperature, I heated this brass red hot and the product just burned out. Do not order from this seller! The product is defective and poor quality, waste of money.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Updates

It works well for temperature and humidity

Turned up with a broken cartridge as many others have reported but the pieces are still large enough to hold in a pen. Complaints about "too hard/dry". operator error. Simply run lightly over the workpiece during preheating until there is a wet streak instead of nothing. Everything you need for this. 350 degree stick tests accurate enough

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Was damaged

not nearly working condition

It's so bad I don't know why this product is being sold. The marker is inside the metal housing. The collet at the end, which must be loosened to remove the marker, is tight and does not rotate. I smashed the case to get the marker but found it didn't even mark aluminum. It's totally useless. I guess they eventually had a usable product because they wouldn't have gotten very far with crap like that.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • old

Totally useless

I bought this temporary pin to use in soldering. Like so many others, this makeshift pen is complete junk. It just crashes when you try to use it. You can heat the steel until it's cherry red and the thing still won't melt (it'll just crumble and fall apart). To top it off, I left the temporary pin at the store overnight and when I came back the next morning to find it bulging and falling to pieces. I'm sending this back.

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Some bugs

rock solid and totally useless

I bought a pair of these and they are totally useless. The idea is to wipe them on something you're going to heat so you can see when it melts. Well, there is no such thing as a "swipe". These substances are rock hard, and no matter how hard you rub them into the object to be heated, none of it, except maybe a speck of dust, will slide off the object to be heated. I had to stick with the liquid color. Either this design is awful, or all the ones I've received have dried up. Also, the rod sleeve

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful
