Did the job in one go

used on my AC Cobra with ease. There was a problem with the top edge of the frame hitting the wheel arch so I drilled 2 holes 110mm higher and fitted a wishbone which fell off. frame under my wheel arch. Repeated measurements that give you confidence in the product. Have one of those cheap magnetic bubble sensors and the accuracy will be day or night. You won't work with that.

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • so far so good

The Freehand option is not useful

The instrument has to move so much during the measurement that the Freehand option is practically unusable. Adding a 15 degree angle to both ends of the lower strut allows the transducer to stay in place when measuring caster. This setup only has a 15 degree angle at the top of the sensor, forcing you to shoot and point in the right direction to get wheel angle.

Pros
  • Constant test results
Cons
  • There are disadvantages

REALLY easy to use, reproducible results, nothing else needed

Nicely finished, snazzy design, "Insert built-in" brilliantly simple, makes roll measurement very easy. You really don't need a turntable. It's one of those tools that looks very similar to competing tools, but once you actually use it, the differences become apparent and it's well worth the extra money. Any similar tool design is only useful if you can actually set camber with the wheel on the car and the car on the ground, but this tool is designed to be hand _or_ attached and is very easy to

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Very expensive

Simple and fast, just add a laser level and you're good to go.

I found it amazing, very easy to use and gives a stable reading. I also like to use it to test for anticipated camber control issues, e.g. B. standing on a doorstep and to see what the resulting camber will be as the weight moves around the chassis and the body rolls slightly. I don't have a chassis simulator, but it was easy to set camber and track its effect on toe-in. Simplifies customization and consistency of settings.

Pros
  • Measure camber and caster on the race track or in the workshop.
Cons
  • old

Super easy to use and very accurate!

After setting up my alignment with this unit I went to a local store with a calibrated Hunter alignment stand and for $25 they will add it and give me a print out. Camber values were accurate with the leveling post! Caster isn't great, but I'm not surprised given that it's difficult to get accurate measurements without decent rotary plates. I don't have caster adjustment anyway so it's really good for camber adjustment and very easy and accurate for that. it is the same.

Pros
  • The digital display can be calibrated in seconds on uneven surfaces.
Cons

You will understand.

At first I thought about sending it back, it took me a while to figure out what I was trying (4 wheel alignment on an 87 Vanagon Syncro) but once I got the hang of it and consulted my Bentley service manual on how to make the correct changes, it became very easy. This isn't rocket science. You can do it! I'm with others, the free hands option with fingers isn't necessary as you're making multiple adjustments and I don't think fingers handle placement repeatability that well. . It's much easierโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Fits 12" to 20" wheels
Cons
  • Compatibility

Accurate and informative

Great to buy now. Please note that in the photos it looks like it will stand alone or can stand alone, but in reality it is not. It would be nice if you could zero the digital meter while it is still level. Another version of this product and I think this one also tells you to zero the digital gauge on a long piece of metal that they don't provide, but it's not entirely clear where to place that metal. behind a tire? Front? On the pages? I know that the meter should be zeroed in the sameโ€ฆ

Pros
  • camber measurements accurate to 0.1 degrees.
Cons
  • Update Availability
