Doesn't work on 20 " hubs. Too big.

If you have a 20" e-bike, the tool is too big to fit on a spoked rear wheel. Fits front. I have a Rad Power Mini 4. Probably a good tool. The description should reflect the size limit.

contributes to the tension of the spokes being correct

Works fine, some other units are sold with a robust reference chart to find recommended spoke tension. It's just a printed piece of paper that won't last long with frequent use. The instrument itself is fine.

Pros
  • Everything is correct!
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

The right tool for the job.

I have built many wheels over the years and this is an invaluable tool. I bought it to compare to the Park TM-1 which I have owned for many years. Both work the same and I get the same readings from both devices. If Park Tool hadn't moved production to China, I wouldn't have given this review. Don't spend $80 on a park though, this one will come in handy too.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Upgradeable

A great tool for those of us who aren't on the road regularly.

Includes needle width measuring tool and tension chart. I don't know how accurate that actually is, but it applies to every tool that has been in the business for a number of years. It is constant and absorbs small changes in voltage. That way you can know that all of the spokes on each side of the wheel are roughly the same and work with that to complete the alignment.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

Read please! The gauge is accurate but the spoke sensor is not working!

I compared it to the TM-1 and it's pretty damn accurate. In fact, I think getting the right tension with one reading was more accurate than requiring multiple readings in the park. Use the chart below or a caliper to make sure your actuating device isn't working (which will mess up your readings). What does that mean? Don't rely on a shiny coin. However, the tool shown in the photo is accurate. Below I checked how it was. watch the clone and we must support domestic companies but this product…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Cheaper alternative; With a big catch.

I'm using a borrowed TM-1 from a well known blue bike tool maker. The design of the ZTTO TC-1 (as the tool was called) was very similar to the blue $82 tool. The movements are almost identical except that the ZTTO is made from slightly thinner aluminum but is still very strong. The end of the spring on the adjustment screw protruded too far from the body and could be felt when the tool was compressed. Must be cut. The most disappointing aspect of the instrument is that it is not calibrated. Out

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Got it
