Well it's light because it's made of molded plastic. Legs stiff to fully extended. At maximum expansion it is too unstable because it is so light. You need to be sure it stays in place. Otherwise it will tip over and damage the power connector as it protrudes from the back of your laptop. It cost me $100 to learn this and it's free for you. What I like: Plenty of leg room, large mouse pad, 4 extra USB ports for charging stuff (loved it since my laptop only has 2 USB ports), bright LED backlight that latches . Overall I am VERY happy with my purchase. But I would like to make a few comments if it is important to you. Durability: It is made of plastic. But the quality and fit are excellent, there are no sharp edges, the plastic is thick and doesn't flex much. However, I give it a Strength of 4 because when tilted, the mouse pad is only supported on the right side.
