Well it's light because it's made of molded plastic. Legs stiff to fully extended. At maximum expansion it is too unstable because it is so light. You need to be sure it stays in place. Otherwise it will tip over and damage the power connector as it protrudes from the back of your laptop. It cost me $100 to learn this and it's free for you. An angle drill makes an angle of about 45 degrees or so. However, the wire bracket that holds it at an angle falls out of its sockets if you just don't breathe properly while moving. It comes with a fan, but its speed is not controlled. Do you want to disable? Just turn it off. There is a backlight on the side but I never used it. It's quite bright. As others have said, the mouse pad area wobbles a lot when you try to tilt it since it only has one support on the right side. I don't tilt my mouse, but if that's important to you, you need to hold onto the bottom right edge of the pad to keep it from bending or wobbling. won't get up. I can't glue the wire mount but I can add some tape or something for more tension. If you leave it in place it's definitely passable, just make sure it's solid before you go.
