💇 TESCOM BIC31-W White Ionic Care Dual-Voltage Carl Hair Dryer (Japan Model) Review

Bought for a business trip abroad. I don't like the shape of the brush as much as hot air wheel brushes, but I haven't been able to find any dual voltage wheel brushes. Everything worked well apart from the shape and I managed to get a hairstyle that is pretty close to a round hairstyle. Served its purpose and was packed quite small and light.

I used it once, it worked mediocre. I barely dried my hair and made sure to set it on maximum power. I'll be using it again in a moment and it doesn't even blow air or anything! Totally useless and a waste of money, not to mention the product has worked more than once, it's so hard to turn on the power because you have to use a screwdriver (I had to use a knife). Not recommended.

Useful for me. I have short curly unruly hair. When I travel, there isn't enough time to wash and style. It helps to style dry hair. I feel like I'm moving from unacceptable to acceptable. Since it comes in 2 pieces, it's also easier to pack.

After about 3 years of daily use my previous TESCOM stopped working so I ordered this one. At first I thought it wouldn't work properly, but if you live in the United States you just need to toggle the voltage setting (I used a butter knife the same size as the slot to turn the dial - slotted screw). I've been using it for almost two years since I got my bob. I have slightly above average hair thickness and have used it either alone or after my hair has been half dried with a regular blow dryer. I prefer to use TESCOM instead of regular blow dryers because it's much lighter and easier to use when trying to work from different angles, and it's also small and portable when you go on vacation. I looked for a heat gun but it wasn't there. I have 2A/B wavy hair and just didn't have enough power. Even after I fixed the tension, it just didn't straighten my hair. I'm sure this will work well for someone with fine or short hair. If you have thick and long hair, you'll be much better off with an airbrush using hot tools or just a blow dryer.
