It does what it says on the tin - music and lights. I don't use the music function on this lightbulb very often, but for what it sounds like it produces a very good sound. Light: Extremely bright but can be dimmed with the remote control. I can't imagine anyone feeling like there isn't enough light. The brightest setting is likely to be the same as a 100 watt incandescent, or at least close to it.
