Save time and watch the instruction video on YouTube. My 11 year old grandson struggles with the instructions, they are very difficult to follow, poorly written but he excels at videos. He loves this shark very much and it is hanging in his room.

This is our second Creatto project after the first assembly of the cat. We thought early on of finding a YouTube video demonstrating the building steps, which was very helpful! The 2D instructions are very difficult to understand but the finished project is amazing. My son loves how his shark glows blue at night.

My 9 year old son really enjoyed making the shark! I liked that it was different than your traditional Lego building and it had a certain challenge factor but still the fun factor. My son had no trouble reading and understanding instructions. The finished product was a lot bigger than I expected so def. victory for us! would recommend.

Well the concept is cute but honestly it's for an older kid. My 6 year old helped knock out the plastic parts while I tried to put it together. TRY is the keyword. I'm usually fantastic at it, but after an hour I gave up. 😂 We might continue on a cold winter day when we're stuck indoors! The instructions aren't that great. Beautiful piece of architecture, looks really great. Unfortunately, this is a real bear to build. The instructions are difficult to follow (although I'm not sure how to make them more understandable). And the locking mechanism is simple, but often very difficult to lock. This is definitely not a product for kids to assemble (I have two engineering degrees and it took over 4 hours to assemble even with solid pliers). I bought this after looking for the best present for a nine year old girl.
