I love this exhaust pipe heat shield

I love this exhaust pipe heat shield. It really helps protect my drivetrain from the massive heat emanating from my downpipe. It is designed so that the screen rises slightly above the exhaust to leave an air gap. This ensures that the shielding is working properly and is effectively blocking radiant heat from the exhaust gases. Great price and easy installation.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • New competitors have arrived

and it seems to be holding up well.

For 3" pipe. Not suitable for 4"! I have a 4" so I had to buy 5 more clamps to make it work. I can't tell much of a difference but it should work. Because of this creates a barrier between the exhaust and transmission.I monitor the transmission temperature and the exhaust is very close to the transmission parts. It's been thousands of miles and the shield is still where I put it and seems to be holding up well.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Safety

Arrived quickly and as described, with hardware

The 2" x 6" Thermo-Tec film is thick enough to seal off heat and appears to be durable over the long term. used it to wrap the downpipe of a larger turbocharger and wasn't comfortable with the downpipe so close to the firewall. The wrap was flexible enough to form tube bends and very little heat was felt through the firewall. or the bottom of a truck which I would recommend for such situations.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Protection

Rotary engine exhaust heat control

Purchased to keep heat away from floorboards and transmissions. You need to make sure you have at least 1/2 inch clearance around your pipe and ordered the correct length as you don't need to trim it to fit as I think it's worn out. I used 2 curved hangers with small curved hooks to hang the screen around the 3" exhaust pipe. The clamps then slot easily into the clamps. It worked like a charm. No more hot feet. The motor is a rotary 13B and gets very hot.I highly recommend this product

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • No instructions

Works fantastic!

[I used this for the exhaust pipe on my 2009 Honda Shadow Spirit 750.] I needed a simple solution to keep my oversized saddlebags (Kuryakyn GranThrow-Over saddlebags) off the bottom of the bag melted through . I thought it was either this product or one of the "exhaust wraps" but it seemed a lot easier to install and remove in the future. I was concerned that the snail clamps that came with it would be too small, but with a little finesse they will fit 3.5″ too. Exhaust diameter (the shaft with

  • Excellent fit for me
