Light/toy, never buy!

This is a plastic toy when you open the packaging (which you have to cut open) and look for the batteries to put the batteries - TOTAL RELAXATION! Seller should sell this cheaper as it is BROKEN HARD PLASTIC (NOT DURABLE, RAG DUDE!) I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM YOU AGAIN!

The water temperature in my aquarium is very important. The description says it doesn't test liquid.

I ordered 3 pieces for a very important task. For measuring the water in an aquarium. The description says it measures liquid. I tried all 3, they differed up to 10 degrees from each other. They are not worth the packaging they came in. Garbage. scrap metal

Readings are slightly lower for certain surfaces.

This device slightly underreads wall surfaces in a room. However, within 3 degrees of the correct value. When I measure the water temperature in my pool I believe it was within 2 degrees. So for $14 you get readings that are close enough for most purposes. I haven't tried it for cooking or really cold dishes.

This is EXACTLY what you need to check the temperature of your cooking grate!

I have always used a regular gauge on the front of my grill. But they just aren't accurate enough to tell you when your real grills are heating up. The ambient temperature inside the grill has little effect on the browning of steak/chops/hamburgers. the temperature of the grids is most important.
