I have 2 identical thermos flasks (only one has a handle and one doesn't). The big ring I ordered doesn't work. First I see that there are some differences between my old one (which has split) and this new one. This one is thicker. This means that after you put it on the lid and tried to unscrew the lid, it only screws down about 3/4. This leaves a wide gap, and then when you tilt it, the liquid will naturally run out of the gap between the insert and the cup.

Gasket orientation seems to be important, ensure new gaskets are installed in the same orientation as the gaskets removed. The new seals offer a very tight fit, but after one wash the fit was closer to the original. The original seals started to leak and didn't keep the coffee hot for the 6 hours I wanted.
