Ok, but the price is too high.

I had to replace 2 of these bulbs in my RV. I ordered this one even though the price (for what it is) was high. It worked well. I later found the exact same item at a local pickup truck parts/repair store for $5 off with no shipping.

Pros
  • High marks for hold and durability from testers
Cons
  • boring packaging

WORKS PERFECTLY. Electric

Works great. Simply connect wire to wire with connectors, drill out the rivets holding the old one in place and use a small nut and bolt to install the new one. If I had to do it all over again I would cut the wires shorter. Too many cables to get under the middle cover. I left it on for a long time because if I messed up and had to cut the wire and do it all over again I would have enough wire. I'm glad I read the questions to see which ones I need. In search of a new world. Saved some money…

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

PERFECT REPLACEMENT OEM

I RECENTLY PURCHASED A SET OF LED LIGHTS (FROM AMAZON) THAT WERE ADVERTISED AS REPLACEMENTS FOR THE ORIGINAL FLORESENT LIGHTS. I REPLACED IT ACCORDING TO THE INSTRUCTIONS AND THEY WORKED VERY BRIGHT FOR ABOUT 5 OR 10 MINUTES AND THEN THE BALLASTS OF MY LIGHTS ARE ON. I'm desperate because I can't replace the lights in the RV as they crashed into the ceiling. Luckily AMAZON STOCK THESE BALLATS SO I ORDERED THEM AND REPLACED THEM WITH FLORESENT BULBS. THIS IS ALL WELL 70 DOLLARS COST AND A LITTLE

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Do-it-yourself ballasts required

If you are not afraid of the project, then this is a simple solution. And if you're looking for "Ballast" then you probably have no fear! My mount required me to drill out five rivets, remove the old ballast and wiring, and replace with this new one. I'd say it took me about 45 minutes, but I like to take my time on some projects. If you don't have a riveting tool you could use butt connectors to do the job, but I wanted it to look original. I've outlined in yellow the places where I've riveted

Pros
  • Easy-to-read control panel
Cons
  • New competitors appeared
