📶 Threeking Foldable Parabolic Signal Booster Range Extender Antenna for DJI Mavic Mini/Mavic Pro/Mavic 2/Spark/Air 1 Remote Controller Review

Yesterday I did a sort of Apple range test with this signal booster. Before the booster (although that was a few weeks ago so something else may have changed) I ran 700 feet in my range before hitting a "serious disruption" message. I ran over 2000ft on RC with this signal booster yesterday before coming across this news. I still have to do some tests, but overall I'm satisfied, especially considering the cost.

While I wouldn't call it a miracle product, it seems to increase range slightly and, perhaps more importantly, reduce interference that can come from smartphone radios. Mavic Mini, I probably get a 25% increase in range as well as a lot less app complaints about heavy interference. The Mini operates in the 5.8 GHz ISM band. Slightly doubtful this would work with my Mavic Air. I live in the suburbs and my typical range was about 3000 feet from my house in all directions. At this point, I usually get separated from the drone. With this signal booster I can climb to about 4500 feet consistently. As long as you're pointing in the general direction of your drone, these things really work! However, it's probably important to note that while they improve the range from the remote control to the drone when you're looking at it, when the drone is behind you the range is greatly reduced. I have a Mavic Mini and before purchasing these signal boosters I did LOTS of range testing in a densely populated area near San Bernardino. My line of sight was always clear and I always flew the same trajectory. My furthest range before buying signal boosters was about 10,000 feet and it wasn't easy because my signal dropped very quickly.
