I need this muffler to make our generator even quieter. I matched our alternator's exhaust to the intake size and it works like a charm. I don't know the exact decibels, but it lowered them a bit.

This is a nice solid piece that looks like it will last a long time. Put it on my 2.4 liter D21 pickup and the noise was about half what it was without the cat exhaust. It now has a nice throaty tone, with no harshness or resonance. I could have paid more for a quieter muffler, but this one was cheaper and sounded better while still being able to order from a dealership without screaming. You can't get better for the money.
