Just great! in camping

Had no problems installing on my car and it fits well. There is no damage, but I hung pieces of fabric on the hooks just in case. I was very hesitant to use a trunk bike rack and now I kick myself for not getting one sooner. I received the item in an open box but never used it. The seller, in this case Backcountry, really took care of me, thanks guys. I would recommend this shelf and the seller.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Fine

Arrived damaged/used

Although the stand is technically working it appears to have been used. One of the pins is too far in for the arm to move. With careful use of a screwdriver and hammer it now works but gets stuck. The plastic cover on the ends of the belt, which protrudes laterally beyond the trunk, has chipped off and without additional padding it can cause scratches. If we hadn't been able to find a replacement for over a month this would have been sent back.

Pros
  • Good item
Cons
  • Socket required

Fulfills its purpose, but could be better

You have to look for instructions to find instructions somewhere on the internet. THULE sticker fell off? The pivot point for the arm is quite difficult to adjust on one side so the quality isn't very good but still trust it to hold my bike when clamped. The pulley/belts don't give me 100% certainty as they appear to be from the backpack. I wish they had some kind of ratchet. Everything lasts, I'm just wondering how long this will last my bikes. In general, "good" doesn't mean great.

Pros
  • Accessories
Cons
  • A few little things

Looking for a practical bike rack? DO NOT BUY THIS!

What a complicated crap! Instructions are clear and designed by an engineer, maybe an engineer to follow! Nothing is marked so it's hard to tell which strap goes where! Bike seat belts are extremely difficult to use as the part where the belt goes is also made of rubber making it very difficult to untie! Also, there is no way to attach this carrier to your car, so anyone can remove it from your car while driving, easier than installing it!

Pros
  • Car carriers and holders
Cons
  • Reliability

Finally found one that fits my SUV but need more straps

So I have a 2020 Highlander and I don't know why I didn't think to make sure it had a clutch when I got it bought him, but I bought it without incident. Bad choice on my part. I literally bought 6 bike racks and returned them because they didn't fit. Either it was so difficult for them to secure the bike or the weight of my bike (about 30+ pounds) caused my top spoiler (I think that's what it's called) to move and I was worried it would fall off. I tried this Thule only because of the image of…

Pros
  • Camping
Cons
  • Definitely bad product
