Because the description was complete, we were able to order the correct part and make a replacement. It was a huge cost savings as the docking station cost over $200 compared to replacing the cable. Works like a charm and very easy to replace. Simply lift the rubber plate from the front without removing it and unscrew the two small screws. The old one pulls out easily, then simply insert the new one, tighten the screws and the rubber plate snaps into place. Now you're good to go. Don't forget to authorize your new Thunderbolt cable.

My OEM cable was snapped and I needed a replacement ASAP. Works great if not better than my OEM cable. No problem with hot swapping and cable twisted on both sides. Very easy to replace! This cable worked fine for the WD15 with some modifications to the dock itself. It appears this cable is for TB15 not WD15. You can see in the pictures that the cable has these pins or lugs on either side of the connector. These spacers sit in a plastic shell inside the docking station and guide it into a proper fit.
