Very disappointed, the ruler is forged steel and has some rough/sharp edges. Paint chipping off the cast aluminum. Would not recommend - returned without use for an immediate refund.

This product is fragile and will not stay level. Because of the arrangement of the numbers, it is difficult to determine which mark corresponds to a full inch. The ruler scratches easily, making it difficult to read.

I checked right away, 90 degrees, but it turned out not to be. Got a refund. I've found it's not the most expensive out there, but unless it's 90 degrees it kind of defeats my purpose in buying it.

Not very satisfied. It is very difficult to put back together if disassembled to take measurements or lay out wood. When the tool is properly seated in the slot it is accurate, but it is very difficult to get it back in the slot.

I use it to mark cutting lines in woodworking. The scale is easy to read, but I lose my eyes a bit when making fine adjustments. Maybe there just isn't enough contrast. The results I get with this are better than with a tape measure.

Checking the accuracy of this combined angle with the flip method on a known ruler showed that the block I received didn't substantially match the angle. It's a shame, because I found the ruler engravings very beautiful and easy to read. I returned this item and received a full refund.

Definitely not square. But that can be fixed with a thin file. The ruler itself is solid stainless steel, I just wish the base was also stainless steel, unfortunately it's aluminum so won't hold the square for long even after you've attached it. Again, for $10 what do you expect?

This item is well made and easy to use. The numbering is accurate and easy to read. The build quality is visible when you take it out of the box. I also liked the two marker pens that came with the kit, although I wouldn't use them for marking cutting lines that require precision.

For the price, this combo box is a good choice. It offers an angle that is very close to true 90° at full extension - close enough for most woodworking needs. It is a little tricky to attach the fastening button that fixes the rule. This is reflected in the 4 star rating, otherwise it would have been 5 stars.

I lost my Irwin combo box and ordered this as a replacement. I later found another field, but I refer to it as my combo box. It works better, is lighter and the accuracy is acceptable for my work. I think the rule slides better and is easier to assemble and assemble than other squares I've used. I even like the big pencils that come with it. I use them to create broad lines on parts that I run through multiple grinding cycles. I sand down the lines before moving on to the next finer grit. They…
