I bought this because I wanted better control over my dog on leash walks. That's great. Be careful as it can slip out if not adjusted properly. But it does seem to choke if you pull too hard, which slows it down, and I like that the tension is absorbed by the material, so your hands are softer.

I got this for my shepherd who is over 70lbs. My dog likes to go for a walk. I have tried other types of leashes and collars with her. She still pulls by other means. I love this leash! Works very well on medium sized dogs. The leash has leather sliders that allow me to adjust the collars to fit any part of the neck. Very easy to train on a leash. I highly recommend it!

We tried to teach our Doberman puppy to wear a harness. She just pulled and pulled, wanting to sniff and lead the whole walk. It sucks. We bought it after seeing it on a TV show. Great leash but not for my pup. I still give it 5 stars because it works, but my German Shepherd got a cough afterwards.
