I like the rice cooker but the downside is that it takes a very long time to cook and the rice will spoil the next day if I leave the rice in the pot overnight because of the high moisture in the pot decreases the cooking. I was a little disappointed considering it's a Tiger brand.

The inner pot started to peel off after about 2 years and 5 months. I expect it to last more than 2 years and 5 months since I paid so much money for it. I was very disappointed. The rice and features are good, but there is no rice without the inner pot.

The rice cooker looks beautiful, but the rice cooks unevenly. Rice is either too hard or too soft. I tried adjusting the water level but the texture of the top and bottom layers of rice is different. I returned it and tried others, Panasonic, Zojirushi induction but they still fell short of my expectations. I finally got the Tiger Induction IH rice cooker, the rice is more even and portionable.

I like this rice cooker. The measurements in the bowl are perfect and will come in handy when trying to find the right water to rice ratio. Although I use the finger method and it works for me too! My favorite part of this rice cooker is the steamer basket. I like to cook salmon and veggies in it and it turns out perfect (I set the steamer for 15-20 minutes depending on the size of the fillet). Just buy it. It lasts forever and makes perfect rice every time!

Considering the price, I expected this model to be my lifelong rice cooker and workhorse. I got the device exactly 5 years ago... stopped working. So far it's been great. After traveling to Japan at least once a month, I finally found a rice cooker that can cook rice the way the Japanese do. From using a traditional rice cooker to using an open flame to cook rice, it's never worked like this rice cooker does. You can really taste the rice, especially when it's Thai jasmine rice.
