Very Good.: Power & Hand Tools

For the price, you can't beat this blade. I'm running this on a 17 Grizzly, I'm almost expressing excitement, but it works great.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • New Competitors Have Arrived

Great roughing blade

This is a great roughing blade that I use to shape saw cuts for turning. Long service life, good wearing comfort, good directional stability, what else can I say. It's just a good blade.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Some little things

Amazing blade

Wide enough for good tension and guidance, deep dust hooks, very sharp with good spacing between the teeth. This blade will cut 1/8 wide from top to bottom on a properly adjusted saw. The image of a rather tough Paduac. I highly recommend.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Some nuances

Broken Saw Blade: Power Tool Parts & Accessories

I bought this saw blade in February but just put it on a band saw. That's how I got past the returns window. After about 20 1/2" cuts on a 6" log, the blade broke. Nothing is broken on the weld, so it's not the welding. I've used Timberwolf many times and have never had a bad blade so it's most likely an accident.

Pros
  • Easy Install
Cons
  • Empty

Not worth the money

I have bought three of these blades over the years. They cut decently but don't have the longest lifespan. The last thing I have must be a lemon. It has become dull after a few cuts and keeps tearing wood off the fence. For €50 it's just not worth it. The cheap grizzly cuts faster and straighter than this thing.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Only available in black

I was never able to calibrate my saw with this blade

I've been trying to calibrate my bandsaw with this blade for months but I couldn't get it to cut straight. I tried one setting after another, but nothing worked. I ended up getting a different Timber Wolf blade (1/2" instead of 3/4") and it worked great. Maybe it was just a rare defect in the blade.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • I can't remember but there was something

Blade cuts very well but wobbles back and forth a lot

I received the Timber Wolf blade quickly as expected. When I installed it on my new 17" Grizzly band saw, I noticed a lot of upper saw wheel wobble back and forth when I centered the blade. The blade cuts through thick material very well, up to 10 inches thick softwood. but the jerking is annoying. I'm concerned that over time this could damage my thrust bearings. I'll probably return it and order another, assuming this issue is unique to this particular specimen.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • High price

Can I give this more than 5 stars?

Can I give more than 5 stars? I was a bit disappointed when I bought a new Grizzly G0513 band saw and the saw band didn't really fit the job I was given. I realized I needed a saw blade for what I was attempting, but wasn't expecting the kind of improvement I was actually getting from this blade for the price. This blade is incredible. It was quick to set up and I was able to take a 5/16 inch board and cut it in half with little effort. I ended up with two boards that really didn't need any…

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • A little wrinkled

Not suitable for sawing

In short, I bought it for sawing large solid wood, but I couldn't get it to move in a straight line. The 1/4" wide Timberwolf does the job much better. Typically, band saws use wider blades for sawing and routing and thinner blades for complex jigsaw work, but all my experience has shown the opposite to be true when sawing. A 3/4" wide blade will continue to tilt once it starts fishing and it's almost impossible to convince it to go straight again, while a 1/4" wide blade cuts out enough bend…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
