🧶 Knit 52 Timeless Toys Review

I am disappointed in this rather expensive book. If I could return it I would. First, the book I received was defective. Some pages had creased areas that were not cut. See photo. Many, many of the templates offered share the same basic body and legs, with only minor changes. For the price I expected more.

I like patterns and well-written patterns. I can't wait to start working on the turtle. I want to mention that on page 126 in the Southwest chapter, the nameless being between the coyote and the lizard is an arrow. The typesetter overlooked it. (I'm a longtime Southwesterner and have a soft spot for darts.)

I bought this knitting book for my mother. I have seen specimens in person and Chris' photographs reflect the beautiful form and personality of these toy creatures. As I looked at the templates and read the other information provided, I knew this would be easy to follow and the templates would work! I just love how she used shaping stitches to add appropriate interest to each creature's shape. I don't know how you know where to start! Each piece of creature is just as adorable as the next. I…
