Updated rating from 4 stars to 1

NOT THAT Great watch once you figure out how to set the time. The only instructions provided were NOT in English; Luckily someone had a translation app on their phone. My mum (sightless due to wet macular degeneration) is also very happy with the watch and she can also read the time. No fit issues or other issues I'm aware of. Updated Rating - Watch went from 4 stars to 1. Bought Christmas 2017 for Easter 2018, no longer works. DON'T SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY.

Pros
  • Easy setting
Cons
  • There are flaws

This is Mom's second watch from TimeOptics. She has a macular spot and can't see much, so the call feature on this watch is great. When the first one failed we were very happy to find it and it arrived two days later. Her first watch lasted 3 years and she used it constantly. If you follow the instructions to set up this watch, it will work for a long time. They're also thinner than most talking watches we've found.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Nothing

Good unit of time. for watch

Good watch. Here's why I gave it 4 stars and not 5: It was difficult to set up without instructions. BUT the instructions were found later. The watch comes in a jewelry pouch in the box. The instructions were later found hidden in the jeweler's pouch. You'll have better luck with the setting if you dig through the bottom of the jeweler's pouch for instructions! The stem of the clock is hard, making it difficult for a 91-year-old blind woman to press it. The voice is also quite quiet. That's why

That's said! Wow!

The watch corresponds to the declaration. This is a great review for any product. Here are a few side effects not mentioned in the instructions: The clock is easy to reset, but use a needle or the point of a pen to press on it. The bottom button is indented to set the time. (It was also tuned, just not perfectly.) If it's not loud enough, ask the user to raise their hand to their ear accordingly. (I'm not trying to be mean.) However, for those of you of normal hearing range, I heard and…

  • Useful not only for the intended purpose
Cons
  • Some problems

Cannot be repaired.

I gave this watch to my mother for Christmas because she is blind. This lasted less than a year. It still shows the time, but the talk function no longer works. I took it to a jeweler to see if they could fix it but they didn't. This talking watch needs a special repair that a regular jeweler won't touch. Since the watch is still telling the time, the jeweler said the spring mechanism inside that controls the call probably isn't working. I wouldn't spend a lot of money on another talking clock…

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent

Some are good, some not so good.

It's a bit tighter than expected but otherwise functional. My only complaint is that the speaking voice could have been louder. I bought this for my mum who has poor eyesight (she likes how clear and simple the face is), also has processing time issues due to cognitive impairment, but when something like a TV is running it's very hard to hear a voice. Announcing the time/date, with perfect pitch. Also, if you're buying a watch for someone with memory or cognitive issues, note that the button…

Time matters: Wristwatch

My wife has limited vision and can no longer read watches. Any clock (including wall clocks). However, she wants to know the time, day of the week, and date. This wristwatch provides this information at the touch of a button. Click once and get the time, click again and get the date. It's easy to use and that's a big plus. It arrived already set to the correct time and date so she just put it on and I explained how to use the single button and she was ready to go. In fact, this is their second…

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Almost never

This otherwise handsome watch has a fatal flaw for elderly visually impaired users - setting the time isn't easy. It's unintuitive and requires a pen or other pointed object to press the recessed button to change the time/date/alarm. OK - I know that once the time/date is set, this one button control becomes a breeze for anyone. But twice a year, most parts of the US change to Daylight Saving Time, and my 93-year-old mother can't seem to begin to skip forward or back down (retire especially)…

Pros
  • Quick Change
Cons
  • Weak Set
