made in USA Timken

If you look at the photo of the back of this assembly and zoom in, you can see the Timken part number for the bearing in the assembly - the Timken bearing number is not shown The hubs fit in the Part number 515001 for hub assembly - look for the part number timken jrm55049es provided by Timken and you'll see the bearing itself in noc - or even look at moog's listing and you'll see the same thing. The Timken JRM number is laser engraved on the cup.

Mud Pits and Cow Shit Dirt Roads and Fields

I bought this to replace an original that had 345,000 miles on the odometer. To be honest I'm working on my truck! It's full of heavy cargo, mud pits and cow dung, dirt roads and fields. Regular maintenance every 3000 miles (oil, filter, air filter, grease, tire change) and wash twice a month. After 5000 miles (August 2016 to December 2016) it's already shaky. If I can get close to 350,000 miles on this truck, I think I should be getting at least 50,000 miles out of a wheel bearing! Certainly…

Pros
  • Heavy & Commercial Vehicle Parts
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Seller is not affiliated with Timken. The item is not as advertised.

I bought two hub assemblies to replace the bearings that blew on my full size 1993 Chevy Blazer. I removed the old hubs from my truck and cleaned all the dirt and rust off the axle and mating surfaces. I installed a new hub assembly only to find that there was a 4-5mm gap at the outer edge of the hub. This left a nice little path for water and dirt to get right into the assembly, which could cause serious damage. I contacted Timken directly and they stated that they do NOT sell their parts…

Pros
  • Axle Bearings and Seals
Cons
  • Not all will fit
