Good bearings are best for thrust bearings and seals

They carry loads well. I bought a cheaper kit that only lasted a year. Timken bearings last longer than cheap counterfeit bearings.

Rusted right out of the box.

came out of the box rusty. it is not a small surface rust. it's pretty deep. I don't install such parts and I don't even try to clean them. I'm not sure, but it looks like a used part or a return from someone else. not happy about it at all. Thank you very much

Best product quality among axle bearings and seals

I specifically ordered Timken because of their reputation for quality. Bearing and assembly have been working great for over 6 months now. Somehow a wheel bolt broke off while driving. Not a big deal and it usually takes me about 15 minutes to swap it out. This device does not use a standard size bolt. I've tried every local parts supplier and couldn't find a replacement. Now I have to order the entire assembly and remove 1 bolt to use on mine. A $1.50 part ends up costing me over $60 and 2…

INSTALLATION WAS MORE DIFFICULT THAN IT SHOULD BE.

Just received 2 of these bearings/hubs with internal and external grease seals and new dirt flanges. I personally installed these Timkins in both spindles that will be installed in my Corolla 98 on 3/16/2016. Here is my take on installing a bearing in a spindle. Installation is a bit more complicated than it should have been. This is because the inner ring of the bearing is in two halves rather than one block (as far as I remember there were bearings back in the good old days). This means that…
