Excellent replacement hub assembly

Installed this on my truck in February 2014. They appear to be very high quality bearing assemblies, some of the nicest I've seen, and they've been trouble free. while running 25k! I only wish I had done my ball joints at the same time because now they're bad and should be back. The ABS connector fits perfectly.

This is not an easy task, make sure you have the necessary tools before taking it apart.

The universal joints on the front axles of my Ram 4x4 need replacing at 180,000 miles so I figured since I'm disassembling everything I might as well get a new front hub/bearing install knots. They are pre-lubricated, so loosening the four bolts about halfway and then twisting the handlebars is enough to pull them out of their mounts. The work is not pleasant but doable, I am 75 years old. You will need a set of 3/4" sockets and a pry bar to loosen the nut on the end of the axles.

WILL NOT WORK on all 2006 Dodge 3500 trucks, I've learned from experience.

Apparently in 2005 there was a design change in the way the ABS wheel speed indicator signal is generated. BEFORE I changed the hub I thought the fault was in the plug as I figured the aftermarket might have used the wrong plug. I just adjusted the connector so that both front wheel sensors would trigger a fault in the ABS system. I called Timken tech support, they told me the difference, luckily both year models use the same hub/bearing assembly. and all i had to do was replace the old hub…
